Metalhead Musings

Welcome to my blog. I'm just playing around with this but hopefully will begin to use it to open up to the world. Aren't we all looking for ways to express ourselves?

August 25, 2010

Tonight we have the August meeting of the Miami Metal Clay Artists at the Pearl's Art Store on US!  I went to the PMC Conference in July so I'll be showing some pictures that I took. Some will be posted here on the blog if I can remember how to do that. It's been awhile since I have written here.Cool, I figured it out.

Today at Intergalatic Bead show

Today I taught a "Taste of Metal Clay" class in Pompano. I had 2 great students that fell in love with metal clay. I saw a few people that I know, and it was generally a good day. I spent all the money I made plus some, but I bought some really nice chain. Now I'm home sulking because my husband went off to play in his band and left me home for the second night after we had plans. The gigs come before the dates. Oh well, I'm tired anyway so I'll just take a shower and go to bed. BORING! Tomorrow morning I'm going to play with my new PROMETHIUS Bronze Clay.

Balance in Life

Sometimes we all feel out of balance. How do I know this? Just look at all the road rage, terrorism, and earth trying to purge itself of heat and negetive energies. Personally I have those teeter toter days. Right now I am suffering a blockage of creativity. I think many teacher/artist people go through this. Right now the weather here is so beautiful that I do not want to be indoors making jewelry or anything else.I'm keeping this short so I can get out and breathe the cool crisp air that is so rare here in Miami. Outdoor air conditioning! Then the guilt. I should be in my studio making and finishing pieces. I can't sit still. That being said, I'm off because this is what God must be telling me to do.
